$20 drop in class for adults

What's this Class About?
In this cajón class we'll dive into the rhythms of Flamenco and learn how to accompany different palos.
Here's what you can expect:
- Rhythms: We'll explore the essentials to accompany guitarra, baile y cante.
- Techniques: We’ll learn modern techniques to help you get the most out of your cajón.
- History: We'll chat about the cajón's roots and its important role in Flamenco music
No matter your skill level, this class is all about having fun and connecting with the music. So, come hang out and let's enjoy the rhythm together!
Cajón class
Oscar Gamboa is a percussionist with 20 years of experience playing drums and percussion in a variety of musical settings. With a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of New Mexico, Oscar specializes in world music and actively performs throughout the New Mexico area. His passion for rhythm and dedication to teaching make this class a unique opportunity for both beginners and experienced musicians alike.

Meet Our Instructor
Ailsin Robertson
Aislin Garica Robertson was 8 years old when she started studying Flamenco at the María Benítez Institute for Spanish Arts. There she met Emi, who was her teacher for many years. Later Aislin followed Emi to EmiArteFlamenco Academy. In December 2023, after a long journey, Aislin was invited to dance as a core member of EmiArteFlamenco. Aislin also works with the performing group; Flamenco Youth de Santa Fe and has taught at EmiArteFlamenco Academy for almost three years. She is commited to sharing this gift with her community and the next generation of artists.

Private classes
We offer children's classes beginning at age 3. Classes meet twice a week and culminate in a recital at the end of every semester.
Our adult classes are for adults of all ages and skill levels 18 years and up! Classes meet once or twice a week. We offer punch-cards so you can take as many or as few classes as your schedule allows.
